Data & provenance

Where our data comes from

AML Finder does not maintain a second database of vendor claims. Provider facts come from AML Directory Australia's structured, source-checked records — the evidence layer. AML Finder is the decision layer: it applies a separate, transparent matching model to those facts.

The pipeline

  • AML Directory researchers record each provider's facts against public sources — the provider's own site and the Australian Business Register — with the date each source was checked.
  • AML Finder ingests those canonical records at build time into a versioned export. There is no manually duplicated provider database.
  • When AML Directory changes a price, capability, integration or checked date, re-running the ingest regenerates the export — one fact, one place.

Status integrity

Four statuses only: Verified, Partial, No and Not established. A field the research could not establish is never silently turned into "no", and an absent field on a record is treated as "not established", not as absence. A schema error in the export fails the build rather than producing a misleading result.

Known data caveats

The canonical records are surfaced exactly as researched, including the gaps. The current export carries these caveats from the source-checking process:

  • amlguard: partial without a note: ttr
  • amlhub: partial without a note: aml-program; partial without a note: beneficial-ownership; partial without a note: smr-workflow; partial without a note: ttr; partial without a note: transaction-monitoring; partial without a note: evidence-pack
  • firstaml: partial without a note: adverse-media
  • simpleaml: partial without a note: aml-program; partial without a note: cdd; partial without a note: smr-workflow

A caveat like "partial without a note" means the source record marks a capability partial but does not explain the scope. AML Finder never invents the missing detail — it is shown as partial with a request to confirm the exact scope.

What this site is not

A match score is not compliance certification, legal advice, quality accreditation or AUSTRAC approval. No listing implies endorsement. Confirm current features and pricing with the provider before buying.
